Like those phising mails, telling you your accounts gets blocked if you do not do action x (but also other things)

Luckily it never happend to me so far! But some of them are really well made and confuse me a lot, then I get unsure what to do

never have, unless im expecting an email from a specific thing, i ignore 99% of all the other ones.

and ik i should bc ik it continues to put me on the "scammers targets" list but every time i get a scam text that puts me in a dam group chat w/ other ppl i always send a meme pic, last time someone else sent one back ?!?!? lmao

But my coworker today saw a message on tiktok from a tiktoker that gives out money like Mr.Beast. the message said if he clicks on a link he gonna get 1000$

No but I’ve been too naive other times bc once I gave an Uber driver my number cuz I thought he wouldn’t let me out of the car otherwise, and as he’s the one at the wheel he is in a position of power as he can control whether I can get out or not, take me somewhere else, etc! and he was also asking how old I was, where my parents are, if I had a boyfriend and when I said no, why, and so he knew my name, my age (barely legal teenager and I look younger than my age so probably why he asked), where I lived (bc he dropped me there), where I go to school, that I’m not from here, and that my parents weren’t anywhere nearby. You can say why didn’t I lie but I like can’t lie (faking smth/acting for jokes is DIFFERENT) so if someone asks I answer

he offered to show me around in the middle of the drive and I was like maybe (like if I ended up with him as an Uber driver again ig) but then he asked for my number for showing me around after he got to the parking lot!

i really do not need him to show me around, I have my aunt and uncle who live a few hours away or could ask a friend!

i wasn’t sure what to do bc he seemed nice other than asking me so many uncomfortable things and for my number so I still gave him a tip but gave him a 1 star rating😭 like he didn’t do anything mean or physical or aggressive I didn’t know

I was panicking for the whole week nonstop after that and hoping he wouldn’t come by and try to find me

i told my parents eventually and then my mom at first told me to report him on the Uber app but then reneged and my dad was like don’t in case he takes revenge or wtv

but I reported him anyway, besides asking for my number being a big no, asking how old and if I have a boyfriend and a bunch of other questions were no-nos and reportable for Uber drivers and I did and got a full refund minus the tip I gave💀

it’s maybe bc it was my first time taking an Uber completely by myself since I’ve only gone with other ppl before and my parents always tell me to sit in the front if there’s not too many people that the back needs to be used so I sat shotgun😭 I did not know you don’t do that in Ubers, I suck at life
Apparently that might’ve given an indicator I was into him? Ofc I wasn’t

I don’t mind talking to ppl and Uber drivers but like…

not an online scam, but one time, I got a call from "Apple" (somebody claiming to be them) saying my iCloud account had been breached. So I called the number they gave me, and he took me through these truly bizarre steps to "recover my account". Like, he told me to open the Run command prompt on my computer and type in this random URL and hit Enter. I was too naive not to, so I did. Then, he kept asking for my name, credit card info, etc. So I hung up at that point bc that was when I realized it was just a scam, but then he kept calling me back, and calling, and calling... I finally ended up blocking that number.

Yeah when I was like....18 and I was buying in game currency for this online game. The box that popped up for my card info that I thought was to continue my purchase was actually a spam popup. I thought it was odd when I never got the funds rewarded to my account. I got a call from my bank saying they had placed a hold on my card because somebody out in Texas was trying to use it to buy stuff. I'm on the east coast so they knew something was up. Luckily my bank caught it, got a new card, all info was changed and no funds were lost. It taught me to be more careful online though.

I don't get any phishing or spam mails. It seems that I'm not interesting enough. Maybe just because I'm not an active member on any 'social' network platform. I'm not registered at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. I regularly visit YouTube and Twitch, but I'm not registered there.

I use Steam, but only for buying games. I'm not part of any community there.

The scams have been getting more and more realistic, like they can imitate insurances and stuff, and when you call them they seem smart. Once you deny them information though, they hang up.

I did get lured once into a zoom call for a pyramid scheme I was like yeah yeah cool, I'll think about it, then ghosted the dude but he kept calling and messaging me for weeks. Had to block his number and his linkedin.
