The squares are the worst But I also just suck at US geography anyways, I thought the state south of me was one of the ones to the north for ages, though in school I was fine for the time we learned geography. After that it all went out the window.

You know there's an actual immigration exam right?! People have to actually pass a test that involves things like presidents, wars... history, politics...

I don’t. Google is also not showing me anything like that either. I do know about the naturalization exam that requires a civics test, I helped my parents study for that one, but I don’t see why it would be an immigration exam if you don’t need it to immigrate.

Yes, the Naturalization exam. I was really worried about you... I think passing it should be a requirement at 18. If you can't pass it you get deported to the ocean.

Realistically though I think a lot of people who studied and passed it in the past probably wouldn’t be able to now, it’s straightforwards memorization that you end up forgetting most of after, just like lots of school tests

But if you won't do that for this country at least once... Then maybe you should go someone place you feel is worth the effort. It's dumb to require something of immagrants that most American's can't do.

Well it’s not exactly the same, but a lot of states do require US history in order to graduate high school. US history is often harder imo than the naturalization exam, neither are super hard per say, especially depending on the US history class and level, but I think it usually is harder and takes longer to learn a portion of the US’ history sometimes with critical thinking than memorize a list of questions and their answers.

If you slightly pay attention in US goverment and history in HS you should be able to pass. Probably Jr. High.... I just played with some practice tests... It was mostly elementary level stuff. The only one that would trip up a kid I saw was the Political affiliation of the current US president.

Well assuming you took both of those and retained all the information maybe. Saying the opposite definitely wouldn’t be true. If you study for the naturalization exam and try to take US History and US Government tests I have no doubt you’d flop hardcore. I think it still would be pointless to require it though for 18 year olds because they’ve often proven they can learn some level of US History anyways if they graduated High School.
