I think seventeen and loona are the highest number where i would learn their names and more things about them. The NCT universe is too tangled.

You just reminded me when I tried to explain NCT universe and concept to my friend back in the day LOL.

Lmao yes, i wanted to learn it at the beginning when nct dream debuted but then they kept putting members in more than one units and i thought it was useless if they just gonna exchange members whenever.

Nah I totally get it. I'm honestly more into NCT 127 than any of the other subunits.

I wasn't too fazed because I was an Exo-L at one point in my life and I managed to memorize all their names and I suck at names.

I think too many members at once makes the stage feel too crowded and makes the other members feel like back up dancers.
I'm perfectly fine learning up to 11-12 members. If a person can remember multiple members from groups so can they in bigger groups.
My issue isnt remembering, its the division with lines, screen time, stage presence. As op said, members become filler members. And it's a big issue in the kpop scene when companies struggle to give normal line distribution to normal sized groups too

For me its also not an issue in itself to learn the names.. but like you said it brings many other issues
Also to me to truely like a group, it is important to me to like all the members or at least a big majority of them. The more members a group has, the more unlikely it is to like all of them, so thats added difficulty

yep! I would not say that I stop at 9.. it can always happen that I get into a bigger group, but so far it did not happen and I would not prefere it
