I’ve been trying to cut down my YouTube hours Im down to like six hours a day now I used to do like nine hours a day

good question, I was out for a walk for few hours with my friend before that did house chores and ate, watched television and played a game on phone, that sums it up.

Woah what do you watch for all those hours? I don't spend more than 2 hours a day on Youtube unless I get addicted to some Turkish show. Their episodes go for like 2+ hours so i just binge watch until I get to the end. But when I'm not watching a show, I barely spend any time on Youtube.

I have no idea what a YouTube video essay is lol.
And I just found the time watched feature and apparently I spent 41 minutes altogether yesterday (which makes sense because I had a song on loop) and 30 minutes today. The time I spent on it last week was 2 hours and 1 minute 🤣 I wonder how much time I spend when I am addicted to some show.
And now that I have those stats, I can delete the app again. I literally downloaded it just so I can see my time.
