They are outdoor cats, though for a while we did have them all inside. We started out with one fixed cat, then when we moved to a farm my stepdad got 3 new kittens, 2 girls and a boy. Didn't get them fixed so since they were indoor/outdoor cats...all the kittens happened. Boy cat disappeared and never came back at one point. We got rid of all but one from the first litter from one of the moms, then got her fixed. Her sister had a litter 3 weeks later and after the dog accidentally killed one kitten I kinda snapped and couldn't part with the rest of them so we kept another 4. We moved again and before we could get that mama fixed, she was pregnant again. Got rid of all but 2 from that litter. Now all of them are spayed/neutered except for two boys we haven't been able to get in yet.
7 indoors, been there (but with 10), that requires a lot of devotion! I love mine, too, far too much.
It is a real pain to come to the end of litters when they are not all sterilized. I have been there. I think my highest number was 18-20 cats at the same time. I found good families for each of them and , I’ve kept 6 that I just couldn’t let go...I promised myself that I’d never have more and this was true for years until this summer when I gave in and adopted a new one.
There hasn't been any drama or problems on here aside from one or two threads but they weren't anything major so I'm glad to hear that you'll be staying :^)I will do my best!

We keep picking up spares that just sort of show up at the food dish now, though my stepdad did try to convince me to take in another cat but I was like, "Uh, NO."

I experienced the same, we had like 11 cats at once, and had one give birth under my bed, cause I had storage space under it. But now we only have one, which is kind of sad and it's at my mom's which I haven't visited for 3 months now.
My cat, of the three kittens my stepdad got, grew up to be so attached to me that when she went into labour I was forced to notice because there was suddenly warm wetness on my leg and I was like, "Okay, I KNOW she didn't just pee on me..." *cat proceeds to have a whole litter of kittens in the middle of my bed*. Thank goodness for waterproof mattress covers and laundry detergent. :llama_noooo:
Craaaaazy, I just woke up to meowing cause the mother couldn't get out of the stoarage space, a day after. Well, unique experience you got, not many can say they've been given birth on.
The same thing happened to me. She had her first litter when I was away for the weekend. When I came back, my friend told me that all the kittens were dead. She was too stressed and didnt know what to do with them. I was not there to calm her down , its sad :( The second litter, I was there spleeping, almost in coma, after a sleepless night studying. I felt something hot and wet against my hips. And there she was, giving birth ... The worst thing was that I was so tired that I let her do her thing and fell asleep again. The days after, I could not even get out of the room without her leaving her babies to follow me. I had to constantly bring her back to her box and place the kittens so they could easily suck on her mamarries.
