And because I have had a not-so-good day with my job, I shall rant and give you reasons why I despise it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for even having a job, but that doesn’t mean I have to love the entire experience of working this job imo.
Why Wing doesn’t like her job:
•Janitorial business. I signed up to clean messes I know, but when you’re sometimes faced with cleaning questionable hairs from toilets, almost having a used tampon fall on your hand, dealing with teeth and needles (dentist office) and in general clients who don’t seem to care to clean up after themselves one bit… It gets a little annoying

•Racist clients, or really just clients who treat you poorly in general.
•Working there over 4 years, only getting one raise and only ever getting a bonus because I was accidentally paid too much one time.
•Having to constantly remind my boss that I haven’t been paid yet
•Anytime you call in sick you get yelled at
•Never able to get a hold of your boss in urgent situations until hours (or days) later after finding a solution on your own.
There’s many more things I could add, but I shall explain what happened today.
Okie so first off you should know that I chose this job for 2 reasons:
1. Very few or no people to work around (I have very horrible social anxiety)
2. I can choose the times I want to work, as long as it’s after closing or before opening hours of the business/building.
So the place I needed to clean today was a church, and because for a long time I was never told when people from their congregation would show up, I would often end up cleaning during a few of their meetings. So about a month ago they gave me their calendar so I can figure out good times to clean there when they’re done with what they have to do (totally fine with me). Last night I double checked the calendar and it did say something along the lines of “Mothers, ladies day” but, it also had it for a different location in the area, so to me, that meant that I was free to go clean whenever since they weren’t doing anything at their own church building right? Wrong!!
I showed up at around 8 AM and there was tons of people, so I called my boss (and after 3 times trying) I got a hold of him. And…
I told him that I’m unable to drive all the way back down there to clean whenever they’re done because my family was celebrating my mom’s birthday today, so we had set plans for the day.
He acted as if I should of known that people would be there, that I should of cleaned yesterday (mind you I was extremely busy all day yesterday from 9 AM to 10 PM). When I told him that he went on to say that I should of cleaned the place some time after 10 PM then.
I wouldn’t have been back home until around 1 to 2 AM if I did that, plus my mom would never allow me to be out at that time of night in that neighborhood.
He then went on to tell me that he’s annoyed with me constantly reminding him to give me my paycheck. There was one time where I wasn’t paid for almost a month so If I don’t say anything I get paid extremely late so I feel like I have no other choice tbh.
There was just so much more that was said but I don’t want to get into it. I’m just so mentally exhausted from this job, but I have no other choice but to continue on with it.

For listening to my long rant have a kitteh:
