is that considered internalized racism? i would say that's more of a schema or a stereotype.. i thought it becomes racism when you use it against the person and view them negatively because of it? I'm just asking because I feel the same way; growing up most adults were immigrants with accents so I do make that assumption and occasionally become surprised, I don't really show it though.

I haven’t ever used it negatively against the person but say I see someone who looks Asian on the news. I’m so surprised when they have an American accent when so many times white, black, Hispanic people have accents yet I don’t expect them to have non American ones
it’s like I’m assuming they’re not American just cuz they look Asian and have an Indian or Chinese last name etc
whereas no other race gets that assumption from me
