A while ago I read that WW2 never technically ended because the USSR never signed a treaty. It was a few people saying this too, not just one rando. Today I was reading about the Japanese surrender in WW2 (I wanted to look up the name of the battleship where the surrender happened and got distracted) and found this.
So what gives? Was there a random collection of misinformed people there? Is Wikipedia wrong? Am I misunderstanding some tiny detail? Anyone have ideas?
