Eaten part of a birthday cake before the birthday song has been sung?

I haven’t but my sister has. She made a cake for my dads bday but couldn’t be there on the day of his birthday. So she cut a piece for herself. The next day we just put the candles in the remaining part and sang happy birthday then. For me I was confused about it at first though because I could tell someone had taken a piece but was unaware about what had happened (I couldn’t go up the stairs at the time). So I was sitting there trying to figure out who and how many people had eaten and so on before they explained what happened.

Well nothing really stops someone from taking it out of the fridge earlier unless you put a lock on the fridge or something

To be fair that would suck for my sister to spend time preparing a delicious cake but being unable to even taste it if she didn’t eat a bit though

A bite missing (as in a literal bite) I might have other concerns about. My dads bday cake where it was a slice missing I wouldn’t mind for my own cake and I’m guessing either would my sister, as long as the circumstances make sense. If it was just someone getting hungry and deciding to help themselves I might mind

Oh no, only my dads this year. We haven’t had others quite like that (maybe half was missing one year for me but I don’t remember for sure).

if I was a superstitious person I'd say you have a hungry ghost in your house
