I started to read a book about the wives of dictators and the author mentioned smth interesting in the intro. Not much has been talked about these women and even the things talked about them were mostly lies or fabrications to distort the truth and save the husband's reputation. The author also followed with the observation that when people talk about famous women's lives they always mention their private life , but this ''privilege'' isn't given to their male counterparts. Their private lives are mentioned as a footnote maybe, or not at all, while women's private lives even today are the biggest interest, even if they achieved the same or more as other people.

XD ofc
I admit i have more rights then other women from countries like Iraq or North Korea. Still it's interesting how in our ''modern'' world women are made fun of because of their private lives, used their troubles at home as a joke and entertainment.

Yeah, we do have more rights no doubt. But if someone tries to explain how societal norms are exactly the same or exclusively cater to women they’re deluded :coronawimwim:
