So @Nina decided to threaten people with piranhas if we don't vote for the "correct" Hwiyoung So I got curious and found some interesting facts about these interesting fish

1. They're omnivores. Yes, some do eat meat, but they also eat weeds and seeds and probably other non carnivore meals. Some types are even herbivores.
2. They don't usually go after larger prey. As far as meat goes they tend to stay away from larger meats unless the meat source is dead/dying or unless they're really hungry. They do sometimes bite humans in certain cases (very hungry, you touched their eggs, stuff like that).
3. Piranhas live in packs for protection. Particularly smaller ones are a big target for various animals, humans included. They can number over 100 in one pack but usually are more in the 20 range. The lovely part is that while that sounds nice, piranhas have shown a liking for piranha flesh when hungry enough, so while your pack may be protecting you one day they could also decide to have you for dinner, mostly weaker or younger members of the pack. But that's not actually very common.
4. They regrow their teeth. Shedding teeth is pretty common for them. They shed them and regrow them in chunks.

This is true (+ during the first scenes of Wednesday, but it was still an iconic scene from the show)

I don't know if that's completely true, from what it sounds it seems they would attack without blood at times if they're hungry enough. But blood does make it more likely yes.

Yeah I read that too just now. So many teeth
