Based on your definition of nugu it would depend. If nugu means someone like Weki Meki it’s one thing, if it means groups like Ugly Pumpkin that’s another.

It’s used to refer to groups that are unknown It means who in Korean i believe.

probably since I guess the term nugu refers to the public's (and the K public at that) knowledge of said groups
whereas we are all kpop fans so inherently we are more aware of groups than the general public

also there should be a distinction between a "kpop fan" generally and fans of specific groups but don't check out kpop as a whole

yes i know them, i know about most nugus that have enough budget to get a clip on the big kpop channels. Now for 50k views indie kpop groups it start to get hard lol

yeah I think when i say the general kpop fanbase being about 80% of the kpop regular listeners. I think they would probably know Weki Meki for the most part, now Tri.be it start to gets hard

I think that's just for certain people - obviously I'm speaking of myself since even if I am not a fan of a group I might give a new TT release a listen which means then implicitly I know of said group
also one has to remember that WM contains yoojung and Doyeon of pd101 and IOI fame

I try to check out as much as possible, so I know all groups you mentioned.

I know some here and there when I first began with kpop, i kinda made it a mission to search everyone up. I know groups like Weki Meki, ALICE. CRAXY, PIXY, nowadays I still stick with my comfort stuff. I have my eyes on Weki Meki tho and waiting for them to make a comeback

Weki Meki are great, unfortunately they lost a lot of popularity quickly
