Appreciation Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken Has A Surprise In It! (1 Viewer)

Hello! So if you don’t know already, I love animated movies. I saw the trailers for the new Ruby Gillman movie and wanted to check it out, so I saw it on opening night. It’s actually a pretty good movie and I enjoyed it. That was, until I heard something. I didn’t recognize it at first. The notes sounded familiar, but I couldn’t quite place my finger on it. Then I heard a very familiar voice say:

“…I bring the pain like…”

And I instantly recognized it! It was Pink Venom! I was SO happy that a K-Pop song I love so much was in a movie I was so hyped to see. Hearing it on the big screen was amazing. I started quietly dancing in my seat. I was in the very back row though and only a tiny handful of other people were there and they were all in the middle of the theater or farther away, so I got away with it without bothering anyone. That alone made me do incredibly happy and love the movie even more.

I just found out tonight that the song was also apparently featured in some of the more recently released clips for the movie, and had I kept up with those more, it probably wouldn’t have been as big of a surprise, but then than moment wouldn’t have been as great to me if I was expecting it, or at least not as surprised.

Anyway, this happened on Thursday night and I’m still not over it. Blinks, if you like animated movies, go see Ruby Gillman and enjoy hearing them in theaters too. I even stayed for the credits to see if I could find their name in the credits and with a bit of waiting, I did. Have a great day/night!
