Unfortunately, my dilemma with the string has still not been solved. I still have problems with them and they are still uncomfortable taking on and off. I think I will change the string the next time I make bracelets because I wonder if the one I am using is too thicc. If you don't want to be in the below taglist let me know and I will not include you in future posts about bead bracelets

For string I would do some research on different elastics. They do vary with strechability to some extent. Thinner could be stretchier but also more breakable possibly.
