My sister, mom, and I were talking yesterday about different cuisines and my sister said that Russian cuisine just has random boiled slabs of meat and buckwheat. So my mom got confused and asked her when she's had boiled slabs of meat in Russia and she said "well our grandma once made soup and it had pieces of boiled meat".
And it's like wow, boiled meat in soup? A real shocker, definitely super unusual in other places. I personally never boil meat when making soup, clearly you would never think to do such a thing
