My favorite way of using them

You used edamame, which is still technically a bean but doesn't taste or look like what people would ordinarily think of as 'bean-y', and put it in ramen or something? 🤔

No one’s gotten it so I’ll reveal the answer. The important part here was that I used them to make food, but they were not added to the final product. I used beans to blind bake a crust for a fruit tart, which is when you add something (usually pie weights, beans, or rice) to bake a crust before filling it with a filling that needs no time or less time in the oven than the crust. You remove the beans after the crust is done, so it ends up not adding to the taste

No, to me that would be gross. I used the beans for blind baking a crust for a tart I was making, so they weren't in the final result.
