Is your heritage and second language different? Like what I mean is that is the country you have a large percentage of heritage/background from the same or different than that of the language you speak other than English. For example, I have Ukrainian heritage, but my language that I speak other than English is French.​

different i suppose. i'm bengali but i'd def say my 2nd language is hindi (comes from growing up in a hindi speaking part of the country). i don't speak bengali very well, but i understand it.

english was the first language i learnt though, despite being indian. hindi came soon after though.

I suppose, since my second language technically is English while I’d consider heritage to be Russian I think. If you ignore which language I learned first and just focus on if I speak the language then no, I know English and Russian, and live in the USA and lived in Russia.

I have chinese running thrue my veins but i know no chinese at all. only languages i know are finnish and english and my english is sadly better than my finnish cause i feel like i can express myself more while using english

I don’t have a second language that I speak well enough but it would have been German I guess

I speak Danish as a second language, because that is what I learned in school and also from watching a lot of Danish-dubbed animated movies and stuff.
But I am part Dane.

I'm also part Norwegian, but I don't speak it, even though I understand it because of its similarity to Danish.

I'm Puerto Rican and my first language is Spanish. I learned English in school and the internet; but I hardly speak it.

My mom is Dominican while my Dad is Italian.

When it comes to languages, my second Language is Spanish since I began speaking English first. I would say part of my heritage is not different my second language.
