So the other day i asked you guys to tell me what month and day did your bias debut? It started out as a normal thread to have more cards *cough* as it always is *cough* , but then i wanted to know which dates are more popular for kpop debuts?

According to your answers [specifically 43 dates] i calculated that the most popular month was May with 8 debuts, and the most popular days were the 15th, 24th and 25th respectively!

But i had lots of time on my hand at work and i started to calculate more kpop groups. Using kpopprofile i calculated the debuts of 795 groups! The debuts started from the 1990s including 2023 April, so spanning over 30 years! (I'm sure there are even more than this, cause kpopprofile probably doesnt track EVERY group, but just the more well known internationally, however this was already too long for me )

The calculations show me that Kpop groups mostly debut early in the year, however the month with the most debuts is still AUGUST, with over 91 debuts! Other months recorded numbers between 54 and 80 , with the month with the least debuts being DECEMBER with only 29 debuts to date!

As for debut days, according to calculations most of the dates have 20-30 debuts assigned! However the day that is most popular is the 1st day in a month, almost 40 groups have their debuts on the first day of a month! On the other side the date with least debuts are the 2nd or 31st of a month, these having only 15 and respectively 14 debuts assigned to them!

So if you wanna have a really popular debut date i would say to choose AUGUST 1ST (Which is also Stay's birthday )
However if u wanna choose a really rare one i would say choose DECEMBER 2ND OR 31ST!

Also yeah, it did take me like 3 hours to calculate all, and yes my boss did think i have gone crazy or was calculating my non-existent wealth!
