I think IST has massively over-extended themselves due to their acquisitions of FAVE and Cre.ker because they went from being extremely competent as A.Cube and Plan A Entertainment but they've become increasingly incompetent since they began acquiring and absorbing existing labels into their company.

No kidding, it's like they decided they liked failing at everything. Also, the acquistions of FAVE and Cre.ker were at the behest of Kakao. I think they let asshats from Cre.ker take charge becuase thats when I started reading about them doing thinks like making Bomi and Chorong cry during the Chobom debut. BTW. Thank you for responding. I was losing hope in KPS for not caring about Weeekly! I hope things get better but I won't count on it...

I'm not sure if I'd blame Cre.ker and their ex-management for that, because I think when they were absorbed since they already were managing the Boyz I think that a large percentage of their former staff was directed to manage them. I don't have any proof of this, but I think IST Entertainment is effectively operating de facto as 3 different companies( or they have become so massively incompetent that they might as well be). I suspect there is some sort internal power struggle within IST Entertainment as a result of the mergers and unfortunately their artists are the ones suffering because of it. I don't see any other reason why Apink would continue to renew their contracts up until this year when everyone but Eunji didn't.

IST Entertainment needs to get their shit together because soon they won't have Apink (I don't expect her to renew next time) and Viction is basically disbanded. So, that leaves them with a bloated company managing the Boyz, Weeekly, and ATBO. ATBO got humilitated on national television when they auditioned for Peak Time and were told they weren't talented enough and god knows what's been going on internally with Weeekly. If they don't want to become bankrupt they should stop neglecting Weeekly because other than The Boyz they don't really have any other options other than cleaning up the mess they've made.

Interesting, I didn't know about The Boys but I agree with the internal power struggle part. It's amazing how quickly they forget it's the music and fans that make them money, not who's taking the credit... But I'm leaning toward a combination of power struggle and incompetency.

I know, I think they concept shifted about 12 comebacks early, and even when groups do concept shifts they need to be gradual rather than the BOOM BOOM BAM Ven Para style shift. I still like the song though

Ven Para showed weeekly is every bit as talented as StayC, Twice, etc because it showed they weren't trapped in cutsy fun school stuff but people are to closed minded. I think if IST hadn't fucked everything up by having no follow-up they would have been fine. Have I mentioned I HATE IST before?!
