So i was getting my photo for picture day taken and we had to sit down and the photographer was telling me how to like prop myself ig and i sit up tall and he tells me to like not pop my get my chest out a bit more and i was wearing ig a revealing shirt so i was like and i told my friends and they agreed it is seem weird and wrong.

'Chest out' is a pretty common direction in photoshoots, though. 'Chest out, shoulders back', that' sort of thing. It depends on how he was saying it. But the way you explained it, it sounds like he was just trying to do his job as a photographer. If his tone was off or he looked off about it or whatever, then I'd understand. At the same time, however, I think the onus is partially on the student to be mindful of what they're wearing on the day of a shoot in case they're less open about things like this. Obviously you can still wear whatever you like, and the photographer would be wrong to prey on you, but it's just something to be aware of. Ultimately, it depends on the photographer and their intentions.

Yeah i understand that but it still gave me bad vibes when he said. Even if he didnt mean it with bad intentions, i cant help that my mind goes immediately to the bad side of it, mostly bc i have been preyed on before. Again, i did get bad vibes when it was said.

Oh there is but they pick and choose and dont always dress code everyone.
He toom 4 photos of me and that was it.

an interesting question would be did said photographer ask/say the same thing(s) to any of your female friends?
ie. to stick their chests out and backs straight as well? cos if he (I assume it was a he) did then maybe he was just doing his job or if not then maybe he was being dodgy just towards you

When i asked mt friends, they said he didnt ask them that and when i causally looked over ay others, it didnt seem like they were doing the same thing as me.
