For me im an ahjussi/harabeoji(age sorta not actual) I started listening to gee in 2009 but slept on kpop/snsd until 2018 when I actually started stanning 'em. I listen mostly to 4th gen now-spotify free n downloaded tracks-IVE/LSF(but only UNFORGIVEN), aespa, Everglow(especially SLAY I can listen multiple times in a row, others I can't think of rn but they pop up on my spotify free; which i hv multiple accts but currently mostly plays STAYC, tripleS n other 4th gen randomly cause my Playlist consist of IVE, EVERGLOW, aespa n other ggs.
I don't listen as much to 2nd/3rd gen rn, even my fave BP, SNSDdont pop up on my spotify free played songs-but I barely listened to forever 1 ir pink venom/born pink for unarticulatable reasons: best I can say is I didn't hv time/inclination to make spotify playlist/download 'em.mighta been too busy with/at/after work or I just feel like listening to more contemporary/currently zeitgeist(not even trendy but just feels more contemporaneous/fits the vibe of right now-NMixx, newjeans<which I don't listen to much> are all the feels of today/right now[at least to me] in kpop, imo. Nostalgia/memorableness has its place but for me I like to at least know wat current music is in certain areas(OK Idk Sabrina carpenter/phoebe bridgers or hip young music/singers but tats OK by me)
