I found a random article from 2022 about this, it lists 4 states as having no policy about the pledge while the other states all require it with varying levels of exemptions. Maybe it’s changed slightly but I’d guess not much since it’s recent.

not personally since i was never there but the tipping culture in the US, here it's not really a thing as waiters are simply just paid by their employes and do not rely on tips at all
