Her stage names are Magolpy/Maman and she actually came out around 2006 or 2007 in an interview, but the sad thing was, her label said it was all a prank and actually dropped her.
She then got picked up by another label but she hasn't really had much activity for about 3 years.

She is not very well known but she has a lot of talent.
She released an LGBTQ MV in 2015 as Maman and here is also her live performance:



Before Maman though, her stage name was Magolpy and she released an MV called Girl in flight which had pretty famous k-idols and K-actors/actress like Heechul, Yoochun, and Kim Hyang Gi.

Yes! She's very brave for coming out back then but it is really sad.
They deleted almost everything about her as well except a few things.
I would love her to make a comeback soon.

Yeah I remember being confused when people hailed Holland as the first, because I recalled there was someone else. Wish she would release more music, her first company dropped her when they found out which is really unfortunate.

Yes definitely! Maybe it would have been a bit different if she came out today though and not over 10 years ago. Although Holland wasn't the first, it will be good if he can succeed, then that will open new doors for lgbtq in Korea.
Also funny thing is, I heard that they said she doesn't have the looks or anything which is ridiculous since she is pretty.
We need both male and female lgbtq role models, so I really do hope she makes a comeback!

Yes exactly! Holland wasn't even the second as there is a guy named Marshall Bang who also came out just before and is also friends with CL, so Holland is actually the 3rd to come out.
Yes not only that but they called her coming out a prank and then they dropped her when she said it wasn't a prank. That would make you feel like absolute shit.

Yeah, it doesn't change who they are as a person, as an idol. As long as they can connect with an audience and representation is needed, then there should be no problem.

It's absolutely vile that a company would drop such a talented artist just because of her sexuality. Appalling to say the least. It's even more sad that this kind of thing still happens today.

Yes I agree. Imo it's a waste of talent not to have her on our MV's. Plus if you think about it, like Holland has most likely been doing to young gay/bi men, she could be reaching out to young gay/bi women and inspiring them.
She's like 32 or 33 now though, so she's getting kinda old for an idol, but I hope she does make a comeback and make more music.

This is so odd... I was just reading about Sappho, the Greek poet, before clicking on this thread XD But she was also gay, and apparently people not only wrote poems mocking her after her death, some editors have even changed or omitted the contents of her poetry. This kind of behavior in general is just so stupid.

That is disgusting to say the least. Why would anyone do that to someones work? It's like someone destroying Leonardo Da Vinci's artwork or adding extra things to it so it's unrecognisable. I doubt people would keep quiet about that and there would be outrage and rightly so.

I guess that makes sense. Hopefully she can become more renowned someday. She has so much talent and she definitely deserves recognition after what her first company didn’t to her. I hope her current company will promote her more too.
