Ok i have my reasons

1. wayv isnt as popular as i think sm thought it would be
making me feel like sm wont want to put more popular nct members in wayv when can use them on other units

2. Renjun can speak fluent korean
unlike most of the nct line who joined wayv Renjun family is actually ethically korean so wont be as accepted as other members

3. Vocals for days
Looking at the current dreamies excluding haechan as he is in 127 he has strong vocals so w.e group jaemin jeno and jisung go into they will need some form of vocalist

4. They havented promoted him in china at all [recently]
NCT dream used to go to china to perform there chinese versions and go on interviews they didnt do that with we go up there last live in china was first and last

WayV did well on their debut though plus Lucas and Winwin have both been cast as regulars on two Chinese variety shows which is sure to boost their popularity! I think it's a bit premature to say that they aren't doing as well as expected when they haven't even had their first comeback yet.

yea i know that but i really doubt they're gonna follow through. nct 127 is basically nct japan, nct south america, etc. i think wayv will start promoting in sea soon the way nct 127, the korean group, promotes in japan and the americas. my point is sm is putting all their effort into two units, nct 127 and wayv. frankly trying to put effort into another group in places like japan/the americas/sea is just going to create competition with their own group. i don't see it happening.

They're definitely working on the Indonesian unit though SM have already announced the company that they're gonna work with!

Only cause a unit promotes in other countrys doesnt mean they wont bring in other units in thouse countries i.e dream has promoted in china since debut
plus 127 and dream promote in SEA countries so doesnt mean they wont debut units there either

i think if wayv is doing better than expected. china-korea is still tense with each other from the THAAD issue and giving them a remake of a song with 2 versions was definitely not a great idea. but we dont know how they actually did in china since most if their content is private or restricted. people say lay, kris or vic are flops when they have no idea about the amount of weibo followers they have. sm will probably find some other unit for renjun to join. isnt sm making them the male version of akb48?

i dont understand your logic tbh

if dream continues to promote in china at the same time as wayv does, i'll relent, but i don't see it happening. and if chenle and renjun do go into wayv, they'll concentrate on promoting just wayv in china. if nct 127 keeps promoting in japan, they're not going to create another unit with possible repeat members to promote in japan too. that's creating competition with themselves and dividing focus when its unnecessary. nct 127 performing in sea countries isn't really the same as them promoting there. they're not going to release sea-language songs.

anyway sm always talks big. we shouldn't trust their half hearted promises
