i'll go first. USPS. my package has been in transit for 24 DAYS FROM THE NETHERLANDS (not too bad but still). and it told me it was coming today and i was so happy bc my bf is visiting tomorrow. TELL ME WHY IT AIN'T HERE YET. bro. USPS are my number one opps.

Was there a hold up at customs? I find USPS annoying too but customs isn’t really in their control. Plus if it just cleared customs they haven’t actually done anything yet I’d assume, since international stuff isn’t their area from what I know

My Apink Horn set got rejected by customs. I had to pay for shipping again which was like another 60 dollars. THEN custom's said I had to pay a customs fee of 900 dollars (for an order that like like 120 dollars). That took a month of fighting because books/CD DON'T qualify for customs FEE'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It cost me an extra 100 dollars to finally get my CD's. Turned out MyMusicTaste.com checked a single box wrong which caused all the issues. And NO, I didn't win the phone call with an Apink member...

i ordered a giant miffy lamp for $170~ USD from the original seller in the netherlands, but i'm starting to feel like maybe paying the extra $80 for it to be shipped domestically from someone else was a better choice...

If available I always pay for DHL or FedEX for international shipping. USPS has issues with International...

Yeah, customs eats a lot of packages. I don’t think USPS has control over that though, they aren’t customs they just take the package after customs clears it and send it to the destination, so if customs issues arise it’s more likely the fault of whoever sent it to the US, not USPS. I guess maybe if there’s some kind of paperwork issues on the US side could be the reason, but I feel like it must be more likely not their fault and the fault of someone else, such as customs or the original postal service that sent it.

the thing is that it didn't get lost in customs bc it's in their possession now. they approved and released it to another usps courier, i just have no clue where LMAO

It didn’t get lost yeah, but they don’t pick and choose which boxes need extra screening of whatnot, customs does. Sometimes customs release them fast but sometimes they don’t. Which is still not a USPS thing, customs is in control of that. I think USPS even has a disclaimer about this saying that customs delays can happen which will affect delivery times. Or that might even have been another delivery service that said that, but it’s the same idea

Tbh I find it unlikely that both won’t, let alone neither arriving. My guess is now that USPS has your international one it’ll arrive quickly enough (depending on where you live in relation to the customs place) and that the one that’s misspent will probably arrive as well since they noticed the issue, it’ll just be delayed. Imo USPS is annoying and causes delays sometimes, but I’ve used USPS so so many times (including to send and receive international shipments) and I’ve had a few times where they were delayed or sent to the wrong place at first or whatnot but I’ve never not received a package. And the album store I use uses USPS, so that’s a crap ton of shipments For receiving shipments I like some others better but mostly because I’m lazy and don’t like walking to my mailbox. But for shipping internationally I prefer USPS actually (though I haven’t done that often at all).

Tonight’s not happening, idk where you live but it’s not Tomorrow is more feasible, but you’d have to live close to a major airport for that I’d think, which most people don’t. But I do think it’ll arrive sometime. It’s a very cute lamp though
