I’m currently reading “Hidden Pictures” by Jason Rekulak (no spoilers please) and I’m really enjoying the story, but it scares the heck out of me.

The book is about a live in nanny who takes care of a 5 year old boy who happens to love drawing, nothing wrong with that… Until he starts drawing very detailed pictures of a woman (his imaginary friend) being murdered.
The idea is creepy enough but I wasn’t expecting the drawings to actually be shown in the story, but there’s a new drawing almost every chapter and ngl I get a mini jumpscare each time. They’re not even that scary, but the combination of the main character feeling something off about the shed she sleeps in, overall vibe of the story, a childs creepy imaginary friend who tells him what to draw + the drawings = a very terrified wingeth.
