That's true! There are some people who daytrade U.S. stocks outside of the country but both are good :P
But like I said, I don't know much about trading stock. Maybe I should because I heard it's a really good investment!

There are only about 500,000 people across about 10 towns (very close together so it feels like a city) but is ever-growing because of multiple factors. And with a higher population, higher property prices! Yay...

Well, yes investment is good but I don't know much about trading lol so...I can legally trade will money with stocks now that I'm 18, tho!

Nope! I can't use tobacco, vaping products, marijuana, purchase firearms, rent a car (some agencies), gamble in casinos or serve as a U.S. senator :P And drink, ofc.

But other than that, I can pretty much do anything! (that I know of...I asked ChatGPT)

Both of these depend on the state laws. But I think in my state, you can't smoke or gamble at a casino.

Nope. Which I think is pretty good because you can end up giving these tobacco and vaping products to seniors in high school who can then pass them down to younger people.

We have a real vaping problem among teens 13-18...and it's scary how most of the stuff is marketed to younger people. The businesses involved don't care that they're possibly ruining peoples' lives if they can make good money.

We can go to most casinos but they just won't let you gamble. And that's only in some states, others say that you can gamble in casinos at 18!

Like most things, it depends on the state. In my state, you're allowed to enter one as long as you don't consume any alcoholic beverages, ofc!

Yeah...because apparently, it's "trendy" and also "better for you than cigarettes". But there isn't a lot of research on it because it's generally a new thing so it's hard to say...it's definitely popular among my age group!! 1

We had a drug presentation today too (what a coinkidink!) and the guest speaker (long story short) told about this teenager who was like a kid to him. He was like the perfect student, good-looking, straight As, excelled in sports and he got a $200,000 offer for a school that's $30,000 per year to play a sport at a good uni. Unfortunately, he picked up smoking saying that he was only going to do it when he felt stressed or was hurting (physically/mentally). But this turned into like 3 times everyday.

He made it through the first year od college and wasn't doing so well and his track team decided to drug test everyone so he was basically met with two choices: drop out and continue smoking weed or work hard to raise GPA and possibly get a degree. And guess what? He said "I'm out".

Some time later, the guest speaker's daughter (the same age, went to the same college) and him go to a sandwich fast food place and they find the college dropout working there. They asked him if he regretted it and he said he thinks about it every moment of his life.

Young people don't care now because it feels good but they'll later regret it if they let it control their lives.

But I really appreciated his presentation. He somehow turned drug awareness into a stand-up and made it interactive so it was better received for us (seniors). It was definitely a LOT better than those boring red ribbon things where there's a monotone guest speaker and they're jist going through a boring slideshow.

But this one didn't even have a slideshow. It was just a blank white screen being projected onto the wall and he just talked the whole time lol (~1 hr)
