the books are pretty good and easy to read, most of them have less than 200 pages

oh, it was all the rage with the boys in my grade during third grade (1994-95) through fifth grade (1996-97)! I grew up in the '90s, and I remember boys (and I guess girls, too) were reading that while girls would read Babysitters' Club.
