Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?
We had an “argue” about it in work today.
One of my colleague said brushing before eating makes the food taste gross because of the toothpaste taste.
Other one said kissing your partner with a bad breath during morning is no fun, so she brushes right after waking up, definitely before breakfast.

After breakfast, it's inefficient to brush your teeth before, then brush them again after breakfast.

Definitely brushing before breakfast… I find it gross when ppl brush their teeth after breakfast cause why would you want to eat something with a dirty mouth and smelly breath (like ewww) 😷 as well as the kissing and/or interacting part too…

Your mouth gets dirty during the night and it feels and tastes dirty when you wake up, which is also how you get bad breath. Me personally i wouldnt want to eat food knowing my breath stinks and my mouth feels and tastes dirty

I can't fathom feeling weird about eating food with a gross mouth. Like your food is going to get broken down by your saliva and your saliva NO MATTER what you do will be gross. THEN said food is going to your stomach where it is INFINITELY GROSSER smelling and is also acidic. SO WHY BE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR DAMN FOOD!?!? before because during the night, harmful bacteria builds up in your mouth so brushing your mouth before eating is healthier since it’s better for your tooth enamel and overall oral health.

HOWEVER if you really demand brushing your teeth after eating breakfast, it’s better to wait 30 minutes to an hour after eating to brush your teeth because the acid in your food can interfere with the chemicals in the toothpaste which therefore makes your tooth enamel break down

congrats i learned all this from my nutrition course during the summer

You have to wait 30 minutes after brushing your teeth to eat too-SO EITHER WAY. You have to wait.

Its just a matter of whether you want your food to taste good or not-I prefer for my food to taste good and not have a minty aftertaste personally.
