oh wow, i had no idea this was happening. i hope they do remain active as a group, and it's not just as a thing where they're technically together but nothing actually happens

The members obviously love each other and being together as a group but it's a little more difficult to promote under different companies. I think comebacks will naturally have to be few and infrequent. At least they are together still : ))

In the meantime, this gives opportunity for some solo activity while we wait for the group to make a comeback. LE album?

I don't know why this isn't a more common thing tbh It allows the group to stay together but allows all of the individual members to stay satisfied within their solo careers. Plus the company can still make money group the group, it's a win/win.

May be that or it might be similar to Sistars and the album was made just to say goodbye so it'll get little if any promotion

This happened with B1A4 last year, where their official contracts ended in April, but they signed an extension to cover their Japan tour til the end of June. I feel this is going to be the trend now with groups, I’m not sure how to feel about it.

Well if it does become a trend then it's a bad trend but not as bad as the one where a group says they're still together but then do absolutely nothing as a group to prove it and just leaves fans not knowing if they are a group or not.

I think either way it hurts the fans. If you bias a member who leaves a company, you’re left in limbo as to whether or not you continue supporting the group regardless, or carry on stanning with the hope your bias joins them for a comeback.
Shinhwa and Brown Eyed Girls have shown it can be done, but I don’t know if the groups doing it now will ever really comeback.

My stance whenever a group does this is just that I have to see it to believe it, so in my mind after the comeback i'll be supporting Hani, Jeonghwa, Solji, LE and Hyelin but until they prove it I won't be supporting EXID.

Shinhwa are really the staple for doing it since while Brown Eyed Girls are technically as well they are very inactive where as Shinhwa are surprisingly active but yeah so far from other groups it has just been empty promises.
