I see many people being trigger over people saying something about their favs
And defending themself that they are not trigger because they didn't praise their favs but because they were shading them and they have nothing against negative opinion

So how do you make the difference between shading and negative opinion?

I think that there’s a huge grey area between the two that really differs for each person. But, for me, a negative opinion would be an opinion that’s justified in some sort, like “I don’t think this person can dance very well, they can’t keep up with the others” or “I personally don’t think they are pretty, they are not really my type” something that seems reasonable. Shade is just for the means of insulting with groundless bases intended to bring hurt to others.

It is bit of issue cause what someone thinks is their negative opinion other might find as shading.

Personally for me the intent is important. Does this person intent to insult the group or artist with this, do they dislike the group and are they anti? Do they try to rile fans up with it or- do they simply just want to express their opinion on sth. I think negative opinion is also more open for discussion than shading cause shading's purpose is to insult and downgrade sth when negative opinion is just opinion about sth and every has different opinions.

Overall it can be quite grey area.

So why do most of the people consider it as a bash?

If you call her useless than you are directly insulting her, if you say you don't think she adds anything to Twice then that's just what you think

Yes and if you say it harshly it comes across like you are bitter and it will sound like shading/bashing because of that where as if you say it in a calm composure you won't come across bitter and will sound fair.

Like I said, it’s a pretty big grey area. Personally, I wouldn’t consider is a bash if she was truly a bad singer in the vid. Most people just want constant rainbows and the “my idol is so talented” and “all idols are talented” speech. But in reality, if the video showcases that she can’t sing, you have a valid point and thus a negative opinion
