Seems like a mistake to me as now he's let his fans control his dating life and the people doing it will just feel emboldened to continue doing it until either his popularity dies down, the crazy fans somehow mature or he just weathers the storm and it dies out when people get used to it.

Yeah the fans really have got the best of his personal life and now it seems they've drained his heart from all the harassment ans in order to continue, this was the decision he choose, letting the Crazy fans rule his life

And as in figure skating issues, he also blames himself for this situation:

"However, due to my immatureness, it has been extremely difficult and unbearable to continue to protect my partner and myself in the current situation.

"With the possibility of this situation continuing, and the possibility that even if the situation temporarily improves, it may become like this again, when I think about the future, I have made the decision to divorce because I want my partner to be happy and to be happy without restriction."

I wanted him to be happy, he is my fav skater, a legend and a realllly nice person.
This is so sad.
