DISCLAIMER: I will talk about sexuality and sexual themes heavily here
so If you would not wish to see that I'd reccommend skipping this
I feel like I should talk about this because there's a lot of misinfo surrounding
hypersexuality and people who suffer from it.
To get the elephant out of the room (because who wants a big ass elephant here stealing your KSCoins) hypersexuality is not the same as being excessively sexually active or having a lot of partners. It's also not a cute little tidbit to add to your Tumblr bio just because you liked sucking dick in sophomore year. What it is is a disorder. Now I could get all sciency and talk about the DSMV and shit, but is that really an interesting thread that'll stand out amongst ppl fanboying over NCT members? Probs not. So instead of sounding like ChatGPT, I'll give my own experience with the disorder
When you're hypersexual you honestly just see the world through a constant, non-stop lewd-lens of some sort.
You can"t go a minute without some type of fantasy invading your mind in the same way they describe aliens invading Earth. You don't want to think about giving a blowjob or fingering someone when you need to remember how to factor trinomials for your algebra exam, but it's not really your thought by choice and it's honestly more like an intrusive thought.
The example I gave may have already seemed TMI, but trust that I heavily censored my example for your sanity as this is nowhere near as extreme it can be. I constantly feel like I'm being looked at through a sexual lens by peers or onlookers and that I'm a disgusting slut that needs to cover up so I rarely ever wear shorts outside.
And I also have a habit of very frequently, in the way I can explain this without getting taken down, doing things solo.
It was mostly escapism from my problems but most times when I did it I felt it was out of compulsion. Like I just had it on my daily agenda just like how brushing my teeth and doing homework would be in my routine. I did it all the time but I always heard a voice in the back of my head telling me I was a disgusting slut and that my mother should be ashamed for having such a deviant child. I felt dirty and unworthy to be loved. I also struggled to have proper relationships because of how frequently I expressed my sexual desires to them. Sometimes it was fine and sometimes they were taken aback and I unintentionally made them uncomfortable. While I won't use my illness as a way to crutch myself, it does have a hand in this and that's important to note because from the outside we just look like weirdos and perverts but we're not. It's certainly not conventional nor normal but whether you believe it or not using hypersexual as a quirky little addition to your bio on Tumblr does actively affect people like me who are shut out of society for being "weirdly obsessed with sex" when we're just mentally ill and equally deserve respect and dignity.
