So not stuff like gifting presents or other things that your family has done for ages. Something you one day were like "this would be fun" and it just stuck.
For me it my Christmas cookie platter. I usually pick 4-5 holiday cookie varieties from around the world and make them over the span of 1-2 days, generally to be done a day or two before Christmas Eve, so we end up with a giant plater of cookies. The first time my littlest brother (I think he was seven at the time) was tasked with plating the cookies and I fully expected him to dump it in a big pile but he actually plated them nicely which surprised me. This year it'll be done earlier than usual because of my trip, but I'm still planning on doing it. I'm making melomakarono (a greek honey cookie), Italian cookies (can be made with various extracts, I'm using anise extract), kileche (a Middle Eastern cookie that can be made with various fillings, I'll be using coconut filling and walnut filling), and alfojores (a South American sandwich cookie with dulce de leche in the middle, its a repeat from last year because it was so popular).
