Hello shuhoos! Today I'm gonna share some opinions.

1. Kep1er will do horrible after disbandment
I used to be a firm believer that Kep1er would be a great step forward after
watching GirlsPlanet999 but seeing the aftermath since We Fresh era to now I had zero faith in them.
It might seem petty to some to draw a comparison, but it's mostly because they couldn't
reach what the previous MNET Produce groups did. I can't change much but I'm
just hoping no one gets a solo and that Bahiyyih doesn't join HYBE. If either of those happen I will cry

2. Stop always bringing up death when ppl talk about dead idols
I could literally make an edit of an idol humping air and the comments without a doubt will be filled with "Fly High baby" or "RIP"or something. I don't have issue with you mourning over someone you were close to, but mourn at appropriate times damnit! Just like it would be out of place to say something sexual about someone when we're talking about their death or god forbid at the funeral, it's just as odd to be all sad and shit under an edit of Jonghyun doing acrobatic twists and thrusts dancing to a song called "Pop That 🐱 For Me" (Oddly detailed example ik but u get the gist)

3. Chaeyeon should have never went on Street Woman Fighter
This was just a dumb decision made by the company everything-wise. Yes, let's take someone
who just competed on a survival show once where she was separated from her blood sister
and the second time she barely won last place on and just went through years of
being an idol and give her a THIRD survival show, that'll turn out wonderful for
her wellbeing and mental health! And I honestly feel like she didn't wanna be there either.
But all I wishis that Chaey is doing alright with her solo now

4. The Chaeyoung situation is very telling of how much fans can d-ride
Some of you act so surprised that she is still receiving backlash.
This isn't some baby scandal like dating or sneaking out to a nightclub.
She wore a fucking hate symbol, one that still presently haunts some people today due to neo-n@z!sm. There is no way Miss Girl made it to the grown ass age of 24 and didn't know what that symbol means. I didn't entirely know what the Nazi party was when I was 9 but I knew that a tilted swastika meant genocide and that it was fucking BAD. If you say "ot9 forever" whenever people bring up her actions, sorry not sorry but you're an anti-semite. I'm not assuming her political views cuz that's something idk, but what I do know is that she is aware of the meaning but simply doesn't give a fuck. And don't bring up that "apology". That's not a fucking apology, that's "Oh shit they're on me now I guess I gotta cover my ass"

I’m not going to pick a side for the Chayeong thing because I don’t really know what happened but I’m not sure the fact that you knew what a swastika meant at 9 (and even then you probably had no idea of its meaning through most of history around the world id assume) means anything here. Unless you’re Chaeyeong or at minimum grew up where she grew up and went to school where she went to school and learned family history from her family, you may have a hard time telling what she knows or doesn’t know. I would not be the slightest not shocked if an American adult didn’t know what the rising sun symbol meant and that was a prettty terrible symbol for Koreans at the time. Still is. A Korean child probably knows of the meaning of the rising sun similarly to your knowledge of the swastika and would be shocked that an American adult thinks it’s a pretty sun pattern. Maybe Chaeyeong knew about the swastika, but I just don’t think the fact that you knew at 9 what it meant is any proof that she has to know also. Because you guys are absolutely nothing alike and lived very different lives. Even in the west, where Nazi knowledge is probably more prominent, there was recently a thing where a country’s leader, a visiting leader, and a bunch of government officials accidentally gave a standing ovation to a Nazi veteran, so I don’t think it’s really that absurd to believe that someone might not know that much about the topic, particularly someone not from the west.

I just think all she is, is an ignorant ass. Let's say this is just a misunderstanding because of cultural differences. I think that makes her even more in the wrong because your group has a whole tour set up going to every other state in the US, they're promoting English songs in the US, you're basically doing everything in Americaso it should be a given that you're educated on American shit so this just instills further to me along with everything else that she just does not care for as much as everyone else does to back her up

3. I actually recently learned about the Chaeyoung Nazi thing. I completely disagree. Your looking at this from a western viewpoint. Nazi's directly attacked the west but barely touched the east as far as Korea, China etc. There history focuses on what Japan did because it had the most affect on the East. Also, because I've met plenty of asshat dumb American's my age and younger that have zero clue about Nazi's and what actually happened during world War II that I can completely believe she had no clue what she was wearing. Also, unless you pay close attention it's easy to miss the difference between the Nazi Swastika(symbol of hate) vs. the Eastern Swastika(Symbol of Peace). The Nazi's stole the Eastern Swastika. Know this or you'll be one of the asshats at a Buddhist temple angry because there's a Swastika that predates Nazi's by a thousand years.

Also if your going to say something say it properly and acknowledge it.

Spelling things in a weird way isn't less offensive. In a way it's more offensive because it's an attempt to down play the truth and attempts to make words less emotional. If an act like genocide is offensive IT NEEDS TO BE OFFENSIVE AND UNDERSTOOD AS OFFENSIVE. People need to feel the crushing anger that terms like Nazi, and anti-Semite make us feel. This is a reminder to abhor such actions and hate that Nazi's brought in to the world. It reminds us to be on guard against evil actors who would bring that back in to the world. We also need to take back the Swastika from the Nazi's. As long as the Swastika remains a symbol of hate the Nazi's will still hold power over us. They stole a symbol of peace and prosperity and infected it with hate, anger and fear. This cannot be allowed to remain. We owe it to those who see it as a symbol of peace and prosperity to take it back.

My uncle said that the US were the ones (and only ones) who defeated Nazi Germany and he’s literally married to my aunt (a Russian) Just thought of that when you talked about ignorant Americans who don’t know what happened during WW2. Also, pre Nazis, Europe and North America also used it as a good symbol too, not just the East. It wasn’t always necessarily as tied to religion (though it may have been at some point, swastika artifacts have their own history in Europe) but it was a positive thing used by all kinds of people in those countries

Everyone is very respectful here and great listeners. It's rare someone here gets really triggered. Sorry if I went a little crazy about how you spell things. I get where your coming from now. A lot of places use auto or AI moderation so it could happen. I think it's completely manual moderation here. Our Moderators and team members are hero's here! in many places, knowledge of the holocaust/wwII is abundant, and in many, it's minimal. each country has different ways to present history. some were not very included and don't find it incredibly important to teach, and though i disagree with that, i won't deny it.
in asia the hindu peace symbol is much more culturally prominent than the swastika, and it's not crazy to assume she believed that it was the hindu peace symbol

anyway tl;dr stop speaking for us, please understand that jews are not damsels in distress that must be protected by writing hate comments to a korean girl. hating on chaeyoung when we genuinely do not have enough information to see if shes antisemitic or not just makes jews look bad n we dont need any more of that lmao 💀

I honestly think what happened is a Stylist told Chaeyoung "That's your shirt" and she threw it on with out looking at it. People forget Idol's are mostly told what to wear during anything official. Even for things as simple as lives on weverse. Idol's give up a ton of freedom when they sign on the dotted line.

Their whole lives are basically "controlled" by the company, and I wouldn't be surprised if the stylist themselves didn't know what it was or confused it with something else. More unlikely but it could be that the stylist DID know but didn't care (I know, I don't understand why someone wouldn't care but it's still a possibility) and made Chaeyoung wear it anyways. Anyways, I think Chaeyoung didn't know what it meant or mistaked it for another symbol. I'm still a proud OT9 fan though.
