It’s atrociously annoying when you’re not into sports but the rest of your fam are and you just want everyone to participate in a game of “translate the Christmas carol into gujju” and all they’re doing is staring at this screen

I read it has to do with college sports starting it and then becoming a tradition. It’s messed up especially since it’s always team sports. >.> not everyone on that team wants to play on the holidays but they’re probably contractually obligated.

Since we have to be “different”different as in not using systems that make sense, like temperature and measurements, and different cause of our sports over here
It’s mainly hype related, getting to hang out with family/ Buds/ friends to watch a game and have an excuse to be drunk

instead of sports games they should just air live footage of the highways in our area so we can point and laugh at the standstill traffic
