It's our last day before school starts for the new semester. My brother and I are going to get our hair done, I'm going to do a little bit of work but mostly we're going to enjoy the last day of winter break.

Unless it snows like the weather's been off and on in predicting, then we'll go to school on Tuesday.

That's nice! I don't get new school supplies for the new semester unless I need them (I had two folders that broke but they were old and in terrible condition. I just wanted to give them their last "hoorah" before throwing them away. And I know they're like $0.37 at Walmart but still. I heard you can save a lot of money by reusing old supplies in good condition)

Nope! However I did get off earlier than my brother because high schoolers have finals week and seniors can be exempt from all of them (I only had to take one). So I was only at school for 1.5 hours that week when my brother had to go the full 8 hours over 3 days.

It's currently 41F rn (5C) but that's pretty good for 2:09am in the wintertime. But it's been around that temperature in the daytime though we've had some cold days (25-32F). It's projected to snow a lot sometime next week but that keeps changing. I was about to be surprised but then I remembered it's currently summer down under lol

That's so interesting to me...when do you guys get out then? We usually start in the middle of August and get out at the end of May (though seniors can stop going to school 3 weeks before school ends everyone else. So while underclassmen get out May 31, our last day is May 3 unless you finals or AP tests to take)

Just pass and try to get good grades in all my classes! And exempt from my finals for second semester, apply for scholarships, get ready for college in the fall and enjoy my senior year. It's one of the most important years in school as you may know 😌

depending on the year but for primary school (years 1-6) they finish the year around mid december
for years 7-10 (I think) they finish at the beginning of december and for 11 and 12 they finish when they finish their exams which can be as early as early november

so do your grades still matter even if you have obtained your act/sat results?
