Do wife beaters have a history with domestic abuse?

Umm they might or they might not. Like i understand the chance of adapting wrong ways to show and let out frustration, anger and to lash out with violence cause of that. But I don't think such generalization is true, I don't think many who have have families with domestic abuse beat their spouses, and I guess adapting that wrong behavioral model can come elsewhere as well like from friends or people they hang out with, or maybe they were showing aggressive behavior since they were kids and maybe that way of showing these emotions wasn't discouraged.

I've seen from both sides, no history at all that it comes across as such a shock or a lot of history that creates this type of thing, of course being raised in certain ways will create a person like that. Then again, you can't really know for sure because that's the kind of history that you might not hear from a person who does that to their partner.
