it’s going great

Nature do be a bitch sometimes lol. I'd been trying for months in 2023 to get over that, you know, few weeks hurdle when you get back into working out where your body is like "fuck you for doing this to me." And then I got COVID and the lingering fatigue has been awful. But! I've been doing really well so far this year, 5 for 5 toward my goals. I'll have to leave for yoga soon, but thought I'd pop on this morning.

Have you been keeping up with Kpop?

I've tried a bit, but I got so sad with that Fifty Fifty stuff, so I kind of avoided a lot of general kpop update accounts, so I'm sure I've missed a lot. I also randomly got super into NMIXX after originally side-eying their debut, lol. I went through over the weekend and caught up on all of Dreamcatcher's stuff (Bon Voyage's English version came out quite nice!) and I think I saw that (G)I-DLE is having a comeback soon, but I can't find teasers or anything. Stupid Cube. So some hits and misses! Anything you think I should check out in particular?

Spoiler: Rambling thoughts

I think part of why I feel stupid about all of it is that it wasn't even so much what was going on with me, but my family has clearly ... IDK, changed? in 2023 after COVID. My dad is angry all the time and my mom has gotten really manipulative and passive aggressive. But of course, my parents ~don't need~ therapy (eye roll), so outsourced their emotional processing to me, and I think that triggered some depression, because I just couldn't make myself care about anything for several months.

IDK, I think I just felt stupid because it feels dumb to be like "Sorry, I wasn't around. I was literally doing nothing."

I went back to therapy myself and learned how to better create and manage boundaries and not engage when my parents are being ridiculous, so I'm doing better. It's hard in the moment when you have people pleasing tendencies though, lol. But I told my parents "no" to some things recently and the world didn't end, so! I think it'll get easier. And working out again is helping with giving me more energy, so I'm optimistic things will improve. If not for my family, then at least for myself, and that's all I can control.

I did not hear about the G-Idle comeback I think, so I can't comment on that

Regarding recommendations.. I'm not sure you were still around for IVEs comeback in april? But ofc I highly recommend KITSCH + I AM! I assume you listend to all of the G-Idle stuff like Queencard, Allergy and I DO? Highly recommend all 3!

Thanks! It really is, I love it for that. They even made an English version of it, which I also love. I wasn't expecting such a 180 concept change, but they pulled it off so well and I really like both songs, so no complaints from me.
