Intro Hi again, it's been a minute (1 Viewer)

[centen]

why, thank you! It's a reference to a 5SOS song called She Looks So Perfect: "Your lipstick stain is a work of art / I got your name tattooed in an arrow heart". It's one of my favorites by them!

Oh, that's a nice lyric! I can see why it stuck with you. <3

[Nina]

Yay! I remember you, hi again!! I like your new username, it's still cute for you. <3

Hihi! I'm doing well! 2024 feels like a fresh start, and I'm feeling energized again. How are you doing??

2024 feels like a funny fresh start to me as I was attacked by nature called my own body being one with a period >.> but other than that

it’s going great

[Moguri]

Have you been keeping up with Kpop?

[StirFriedPanda]

OMG, welcome back!

[Tiaramitsu]

Omg it’s so good to see u again centen

[Pirioca]

Oh wow!

Now that's what I call a surprise! Welcome back. It's great that you feel better. It doesn't matter if you're still into K-Pop - you're all right. That's what's important.

I'm sure that many people here would always be there for you if you need someone to talk.

@YoMa @Moguri @YouChan :) shes back!! <33

I owe you one.

[magikarp]

welcome back!!

[centen]

So many of you changed your usernames, it's like a little puzzle for me. "This sounds an awful lot like..." lol!! I'll get it all sorted soon! Thanks for the welcomes back everyone, I feel so happy.

Nature do be a bitch sometimes lol. I'd been trying for months in 2023 to get over that, you know, few weeks hurdle when you get back into working out where your body is like "fuck you for doing this to me." And then I got COVID and the lingering fatigue has been awful. But! I've been doing really well so far this year, 5 for 5 toward my goals. I'll have to leave for yoga soon, but thought I'd pop on this morning.

Have you been keeping up with Kpop?

I've tried a bit, but I got so sad with that Fifty Fifty stuff, so I kind of avoided a lot of general kpop update accounts, so I'm sure I've missed a lot. I also randomly got super into NMIXX after originally side-eying their debut, lol. I went through over the weekend and caught up on all of Dreamcatcher's stuff (Bon Voyage's English version came out quite nice!) and I think I saw that (G)I-DLE is having a comeback soon, but I can't find teasers or anything. Stupid Cube. So some hits and misses! Anything you think I should check out in particular?

Oh wow!

Thank you friend!

Spoiler: Rambling thoughts

I think part of why I feel stupid about all of it is that it wasn't even so much what was going on with me, but my family has clearly ... IDK, changed? in 2023 after COVID. My dad is angry all the time and my mom has gotten really manipulative and passive aggressive. But of course, my parents ~don't need~ therapy (eye roll), so outsourced their emotional processing to me, and I think that triggered some depression, because I just couldn't make myself care about anything for several months.

IDK, I think I just felt stupid because it feels dumb to be like "Sorry, I wasn't around. I was literally doing nothing."

I went back to therapy myself and learned how to better create and manage boundaries and not engage when my parents are being ridiculous, so I'm doing better. It's hard in the moment when you have people pleasing tendencies though, lol. But I told my parents "no" to some things recently and the world didn't end, so! I think it'll get easier. And working out again is helping with giving me more energy, so I'm optimistic things will improve. If not for my family, then at least for myself, and that's all I can control.

I did not hear about the G-Idle comeback I think, so I can't comment on that

Regarding recommendations.. I'm not sure you were still around for IVEs comeback in april? But ofc I highly recommend KITSCH + I AM! I assume you listend to all of the G-Idle stuff like Queencard, Allergy and I DO? Highly recommend all 3!

Apart form that here a short playlist of notable songs (only my opinion) from the time you left:

I'm sorry to hear you are going through a tough time with your family

But I just want to say, whatever the reason was for you staying away, I hope you could see that we are all just happy you are back

Thank you friend!! I think Kitsch, Do Not Touch, and Kill Shot were my favorite from the mix, but so many good bops!

Definitely! It's been really nice to be back this weekend. It's been so much fun to reconnect.

Ahh I'm glad you like them!!! I'm back to my mission to spread the KITSCH agenda

I can see a clear pattern the songs you liked best

[Yelena_Belova]

Since we're talking about April releases, here's a bop you missed:

Need to promote my nugu girlies. Also, I'm so sorry to hear about your family. I know how much having toxic family sucks. I hope you're able to figure out a sustainable solution soon. Have a great day/night!

Oh, it's a bop! What a fun summer song! I mostly know DreamNote from Ghost, so it's cool to see them in a different concept!

And thank you friend! I'm still working through it, but reminding myself that, just because someone wants to make you responsible for their emotions/life, doesn't mean you are or should try to be.

Haha, I can see it! It wasn't intentional, but they're hitting the right vibe for me right now!

Thanks! It really is, I love it for that. They even made an English version of it, which I also love. I wasn't expecting such a 180 concept change, but they pulled it off so well and I really like both songs, so no complaints from me.

yeah hitting is the right word, I would have said the more hard hitting songs are the ones you liked
