Anyway AI like her is dozens if not centuries away, so naevis doesnt hv trainee debt(in our hypothetical, fictional kwangya/SMCU reality. U, LSM could do good by releasing her from bondage to human society, to find its own way out into the wider non-SME 'verse so tat she can fulfil her destiny as in so many xianxia(i dont read em, im just assuming the tropes hold) or other fictional "orphans" freed from their former servitude/life story.

It differs a lot from the source novel n has CGM as more of an action-y hero who is smart n think-y. Its premise/setup/execution does seem messy to me, tho i might not hv paid enuf attention while watching.it seemed to derive too much of its kicks from Lost-y mystery boxes unfolding which may or may not hv paid off in future seasons but to me it seemed to revel in its awesome tech/warriors who kick asses characters/mystery manipulators rather than telling the story of the intersection between these elements.

The finale seemed like a good setup for season 2/more mystery box secrets unfolding(im not a fan of this type of storytelling generally, see Star Wars sequels) but if u like this kind of stuff u shd try n watvh at least episode 1 n continue if u can knowing its a dead end series, not likely to be picked up by a competing streamer. Or it was always intended to be done in one, if tat was its destiny but i dint feel so. I may never rewatch this show due to my issues with its mystery box storytelling, n incohesive (imo) elements but tats just me. It might be yr bag (of tea-im writing stream if conscioysness, without going bk n editing if possible n i lost my turn of phrase right here LOL)

In an uncanny similarity to naevis situation, the resolution of the strikes probably raised the possible budget for writers/actors n less budget would hv lowered the quality/vfx necessary to convey the verisimiltude of the series(also maybe had fewer actors/writers impacting the pacing/quality of a possible future season 2. No loss (overall) to me as it was frustrating how season 1's story unfolded(i read the novel many yrs ago when it first came out, n forgot many details[i dont reread stuff newer than 2000s generally, i prefer spend time on newer stuff, tho for nostalgia i do reread older works pre-2000.

Its from Apple or Google which has to launder its money smh to escape tax scrutiny from US/Europe authorities, but the lack of recognition/name factor of William gibson compared to JRR tolkien's LoTR or Asimov's foundation or more recent GRRM's game of thrones/westeros' dragons means a truly innovative story died on the vine instead continuing the lotr/got franchises into the past. It was a slog to plough past these 4 series(including wheel of time) 4 formulaic sf/f series got 2nd seasons thru branding/name recognition/gp awareness while peripheral only lasted/had 1 season. Alas humanity/streaming tv, i suspect worse to come.

As a creative person(wannabe marvel/dc comics artist/science fiction fantasy epic writer[also wannabe only btw] i started my replies as a creative exercise/rebuttal of yr premise(nxdity/naevis' relative self-hood) n it got away from my capabilities it was fun while it lasted.

If i had any interest in xianxia, i would file away the serial numvers(this is wat lucas did to flash gordon to come up with star wars, more or less) n create a novis xianxia comic/light novel/webtoon if i had any idea how to go about it.u dont get any credit or compensation since i came up with the idea.

SM has downplayed/bkburnered/downright orphaned the whole thing since awhile ago. I think lack of traction plus LSM leading the whole thing caused it to de-exist as a means for current leadership to distance itself from previoys regime, im not srry its gone/disappeared

But but but the peripheral not hvg season 2 is one more thing to argue tat multinationals shd pay proper taxes(or use their coffers to fund season 2 propetly, i demand it)
