I was thinking about this later because I was buying flu medication (which requires you to be 18+ because why not). I remembered the time that flight attendant thought 23 year old me was too young to sit in the emergency exit row (which requires you to be 15+), yet of the times I bought alcohol as a 21-23 year old I was only asked for an id at one place, which I think requires id for everyone. At the other liquor store I went to a couple times no one had any doubt I was 21. Same with today, the attendant that took care of the age verification didn’t ask for id, he just immediately verified me as 18+. So ig I look pretty ageless, given that some doubt I’m even 15, while others have no doubt I’m 21 or older.

I mean, I'm not old enough to order a drink yet but I do get both things even as a 18-year-old. A lot of times, especially when I'm with my parents at a restaurant, waiters/waitresses assume that I'm like 13 or under and give me a kid's menu but when I'm with friends my age, everyone treats me like a 16-18 year old, it's weird.

My third cousins whom I met for the first time at my family reunion this past summer thought I was around their age (12-14) though I was 17 going on 18. Once, when my brother and I were at a local outdoor recreational park with a skate park, basketball courts, swimming pool, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, etc., I met the boy my brother was playing basketball with and he thought I was in like 7th grade even though I was in 11th grade at the time lmao. I'm like "No, been there, done that!" LOL

Even my family has said that I look a few years younger than I actually am (though they do know how old I am). My parents and brother have said it, my aunts and uncles have said it...man...

I've asked people before too. The consensus is that I look 13-15 but they wouldn't be very surprised to find out that I'm in my late teens. And that probably also has to do with the way I dress too. I still kind of dress like I shop at Justice, Forever 21 or the tweens section in a clothing store and I don't usually wear makeup (though I love doing winged eyeliner). I feel like I could really look mature if I wanted to but why?
