"With executive producer Yang Hyun Suk personally spearheading their new edition, bold projects will gradually become visible," YG said, adding that they plan to showcase other rookies besides BABYMONSTER within the year.

"Our goal is to announce more than one group of rookies within the year, with a full-fledged project to discover and nurture global rookies selected through local auditions not only in Korea but also overseas," YG said.

"We will continue to enhance shareholder value by securing new growth engines through various activities of our artists and targeting the global market this year, and this share buyback by Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk is the beginning of this will and effort.

I swear, this seems to happen to YGE every few years. The company gets overly dependent on a couple of artists to hard carry them, then acts surprised when maybe that's not such a great idea.
