Today I am reviewing the newest Madeline Juno's album called "Nur zu Besuch".
Madeline is a singer-songwriter hailing from Offenburg, Germany. She debuted her career with a single called Error.
The album I will review today is her sixth album, and her 4th to be fully in German.

about Madeline:
Madeline Obrigewitsch was born on the 11st August 1995, in Offerburg. She started to play the guitar and to write her own songs at the age of 12.
Her first single "Error" was released in November 2013. She started her career with English songs, but after two albums, she decided to write in German. Her first German-language album "DNA" was released back in 2017. She is mostly writing pop songs but some songs are more rock.

about the album:
name: Nicht zu Bezuch
release date: 26th January 2024
genre: German pop
language: German

Half of the album's songs were revealed prior to the album release : Ich sterbe zuerst, Murphy's Law, Lovesong, Gewissenlos, Verprich mir du gehst (feat. 1986zig), Nur zu Besuch and Nicht Ich. The album contains fourteen songs in total. Most of the singles were released digitally in 2023. The album's themes are family, financial independence, leaving home and a quest to become self-sufficient (it joins the financial independence). The title of the album, which can be translated as "Not in visit", reflects this part of her life. The main theme of the record is growing up (what it is like to become older). She explores that idea in the whole album.

tracklist:

Sad Girl Shit
Lovesong
Gewissenlos
Murphy's Law
Life Goals
Mitte Zwanzig
Was weiß ich schon
Was zu verlieren
Lawine
Nur zu Besuch
Ich sterbe zuerst
Version von mir
Versprich mir du gehst
Nicht ich

about the songs:

Sad Girl Shit:
A pretty short song, it summarises quite well what the album is talking about.

Lovesong:
One of the previously released songs, I really like the beat and the songwriting. As the name says, it is a love song :)

I have listened to the whole album and honestly there isn’t a single bad song! I would recommend Nicht zu Besuch, Lovesong, Murphy’s Law and Version von mir to you. Those are my current favourites. I would rate the album 8/10.

@badcrookshanks @Vikki @Tickita @OnlyCalB @YoMa I need help for correcting my English thank you :sakUwu:

“Today I am reviewing newest Madeline Juno's album called "Nur zu Besuch".” Here you’re just missing the word “the” after reviewing.

“She started her career with English songs but after two albums, she decided to write in German.” Here you’re missing a comma after songs.

“The title of the album can be translated as "Not in visit", reflects this part of her life.” This needs either an “and” before reflects or can be restructured to say “The title of the album, which can be translated as "Not in visit", reflects this part of her life.”. Both ways work. I’m also not sure by what “this” refers to here, is it her self sufficiency?

“I will recommend you Nicht zu Besuch, Lovesong, Murphy’s Law and Version von mir.” 2 things, I’d change will to would (I think would fits this better because it’s more a hypothetical thing, would implies that if someone wanted recommendations that’s what you’d say, whereas will sounds more like you are recommending it, even though hypothetically they might not be interested necessarily). I’m also or certain about if this is grammatically incorrect necessarily, but to be it sounds better if you either eliminate the “you” or add it to the end to say “I will recommend Nicht zu Besuch, Lovesong, Murphy’s Law and Version von mir to you.” Personally I think it’s best to eliminate it, that’s what sounds best to me (and it’s clear enough who you’re referring to without it) but I think that if you want you it fits better at the end :sanapray:

Overall you did a great job :ankha:
