And if so have you used any method except material extrusion(when material is heated and pushed through a nozzle)?

Yes, both at home and at school. Most were material extrication but I’ve used a small one that uses vat photopolymerization (when a photosensitive resin is cured selectively with a uv light). The fine details you can achieve with that are insane compared to material extrusion.

You could. Won’t quite look as fancy though, even if you get nicer filament. But it can still look quite nice. And it’s easier to customize

Yeah I was trained on a few machines in school and that was one of them. Pretty sure extrusion was the only way
