Does youtube music also count watching M/Vs? (1 Viewer)

Yes but there are certain things that will invalidate your listens. If you put a song on repeat only the first listen counts. If you pause the video it doesn't count. If you start a new song before the current is 100% done it doesn't count. Listening to a mv linked from another site also doesn't count.

I also skip that often, even its shorter... and I often pause songs too

It's kind of funny that YouTube is set up to be like "no pause, no skip, only listen!" but also "but not on repeat, no one likes a song that much." Like what a weird decision.

i think it does, once i put a song on repeat with the video on and then it ended up being #2 on my seasonal recap even though i never listened to the audio version of it (not for streaming purposes, it just automatically turned on the mv). but anyway i'm really glad to see another youtube music user on KS
