ah, I figured as much but wasn't sure lol

My paintings, especially portraits, never come out as expected. I once tried to paint Kim Lip, but it ended up being a green-skinned sex doll instead. lol

reminds me of a Chinese story

"there was a kid in a woodworking class and his teacher set the class the task of making small wooden seat/bench.

When the class was over and the kids turned in their benches they were of various quality but still passable.

When the teacher reached this kid and asked where his bench was - the kid reveals one of the most horrible looking benches he'd ever saw.

He scolded the kid and asked how he could make something so horrible looking? The kid looked in shame and said that bench was the best he could do before revealing to the teacher two more benches each one looking even more horrible than the previous one"

yes it's because the kid tried their hardest
since they revealed two more even more horrible looking benches
what that means is that the kid made three benches each one better in quality than the previous one and showed the teacher only the best of the three
