not really? I don't flirt intentionally, but the thing is if it's meaningless I can flirt easily and confidently for some reason because it's just lighthearted, if I actually have feelings for you I can't as easily I'll choose my words carefully
but it's not a common thing with friends there are specific ones, I remember back in hs I had this one friend and we grew very close, looking back we did flirt as a "joke" a lot and the lines were blurry
people in our class accused us of being a couple not fun in an all girl school
