what to do when you have cramps in the middle of class but aren't able to go to the nurse and have no pain pills on you T^T

What do you mean you can’t go to the nurse? You have to tell your teacher you need to go to the nurses office, they can’t refuse that. If you have a male teacher, just say you “just started”

Once you get to the nurse ask if they could get a warm compress to put it on your waist.

Call a parent if you're close with them and see if they can leave some pain medication at the front office to be sent to you while they're on their break at work.

my dad's work doesn't allow him to be on his phone and my mom should be at home rn but school is close to being over (it ends at 3:30 and it's 2:47 rn) and she doesn't like to come this early unless we're going to an appointment bc we live a good bit away from the school T^T

Legally they aren't allowed to refuse you getting help if you're ill. 😑 🤔 do you have the same teacher for all classes? If not hang on till next period and then go?

@YeoreumSkies I do hope you get/got the help you needed Period cramps are a real bitch, aren't they? I got my first period - it was hell, just like yours - in the middle of a sleepaway summer camp, and I didn't bring pads, tampons, or meds I and my parents weren't expecting my period to start so randomly. lol Luckily, iirc it was the last day of camp, but my poor dad had to take me to the store to get some pads and Midol after he picked me up.

The period i had them in was my last period, but they did eventually go away 🥲

My cramps eventually went away, it was pretty uncomfortable though 😭 I've gotta remember to bring some pain pills next time 🥲

You're not allowed?? I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it's probably late but you should drink lots of water, avoid sugary or salty foods, and massage your lower stomach if you can. And if you can, definitely ask to go to the bathroom

At my school, if you had any drug that was not approved by your parents and not located in the nurse's office, you could get into a lot of trouble. Not even cough drops or antacid...

I've known a lot of girls who sneak in ibuprofen because they don't want to go through a lot of trouble.
It'll be a lot easier for me to hide it bc I'm not exactly the best at taking pills with liquids and i have to use the applesauce and yogurt squeeze things so i don't think the teachers would suspect anything if i was using that 🥲
Elementary school and middle school were like yours but i think they let up on it for common things because of periods in high school

Yeah, I wish we could bring OTC stuff with us but they don't want to be liable if something happens after you share it (which I guess they assume that we do). Good luck with it though! Periods suck so bad but we gotta do what we gotta do...😪

i think my school's pretty decent with otc though :/
