So I have 4 TBR shelves for reading.
I've done something similar to this in the past.
But I have really been struggling with reading as of late
so I need a creative solution to get me to pick up something and REALLY read it.

So comment a number between 1-22.
Then I will spin the random wheel thingie and it'll pick a shelf for me.
I'll have to grab a book based on the number you gave me and the shelf I'm given.

I'll do what I did last time where I read at least the first chapter-and I'll respond to your comment with the book name & author
also my thoughts on the first chapter.
You are ALWAYS welcome to ask me more after that post as well if you want to know more about said book.

:taesquish: :taesquish: :taesquish: :taesquish:

PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MY SLUMP
(I usually re-read a favorite but I'm not in the mood for a re-read)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!

So this one gave me Shelf B and the book it landed on was Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta.

TBH the first chapter was VERY confusing but intriguing. I want to know more.

Flip the Script by Lyla Lee.

First chapter was light and sweet and easy to read-though I do think it's a little wordy and overly explains things BUT I think it would be a quick and fun read based on the first chapter.

It originally landed on a book I just put on hold so I grabbed the next one which was Happiness Falls by Angie Kim. So the first chapter was very wordy, but it gave me a lot of questions that would hopefully be answered by the end of it. I will say it didn't pique my interest like I wanted it to considering this authors last book is in my personal hall of fame for amazing writing and story telling. So a bit of a let-down and not as addictive as her previous work for me.

The Poppy War by R.F.Kuang.

So the first chapter was very dense-25 pages which made it drag a bit for me. BUT that being said the storyline is super interesting, though my brain is rotting from school so this may be one better suited for when I am not studying.

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness.

So far this is the most intriguing one for me. The first chapter was like 16 pages and I flew through it. The writing style is easy and nice, the story telling is simple but intriguing and I want to know more!!!

Good luck, i struggle with reading too.
Altho i finished a book in one day once. Whihc was a miracle and still cant finish others in months.
The Witchery by S.Isabelle

Seems like an easy enough read though 5 people were introduced in like 10 pages so that made it a little confusing and rushed feeling-but I think this has potential to be interesting and easy to get into if I read more of it.

Got Flight or Fright: 17 Turbulent Tales by a bunch of authors. It's a collection of short stories that take place in planes. I read the first one, it wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. I wanted it to be more horrific but it was interesting enough and sad given that it was set around a real tragic event that happened.

Ooh, i read this yrs ago but stalled on the next book(i borrowed Poppy War online from library) RF Kuang has won awards for her books and already has 2 standalone books after Poppy Wars trilogy: Babel, then Yellowface. I want to read Babel AND Yellowface next(Kuang is Chinese so the title is NOT problematic), but i just hvnt gotten round to it.
